Same Day Dental Appointments
At Pure Dental Health, we want to provide a state-of-the-art dental experience for each patient that walks through our doors. While this includes providing advanced technology, spa-like amenities and a skilled dental team, it also means offering convenient scheduling opportunities. Our Dunwoody office is proud to offer same day dental appointments to ensure top quality dental care is always within reach.
We love giving patients a wide range of scheduling options to fit their busy schedule. We are open early mornings and late evenings to accommodate school and work commitments. However, we also realize that it is not always easy to plan ahead when it comes to dental visits. Whether you want to squeeze in a dental cleaning between meetings or bring your child in for an urgent dental treatment, we will work hard to schedule your appointment on the same day you call. Same day dentistry is just one way we go above and beyond to satisfy our Dunwoody patients.
We May Be Able to See You Today!
While we cannot guarantee same day appointments, we take extra measures to make it happen, including keeping our appointments running on time, extending our working hours and reserving time in our daily schedules to treat same day patients. Our Dunwoody office also features a team of talented dentists who utilize cutting-edge technology for maximum efficiency.
We understand your schedule is busy and that some dental concerns need to be treated promptly. Contact Pure Dental Health today to be considered for a same day dental appointment in Dunwoody. We provide the same superior level of care to the patients we see at last minute’s notice as we do those that have scheduled their visit months in advance.
What you need to know
We are committed to helping you the same day whenever possible, but want to set the right expectations up front.
Many times sedation is required to elevate pain comfortably.
Same day sedation may be possible IF:
- You come with a responsible driver to drive you home
- You have not eaten or drank anything 6 hours prior to appointment (including water)
- Stable Medical Condition (eg: high blood pressure, diabetes, uncontrolled bleeding, and pregnancy may exclude you from sedation without your doctors medical clearance)
- Some procedures (such as complicated extractions) always require sedation.
Schedule and come in as soon as you can
Our emergency guarantee is that if you arrive before noon, we will provide same-day dental care. That said, there are situations where you won’t be able to get to the office by noon. In that case, we will still strive to meet and treat you same day (we just can’t guarantee it, particularly if you show up past 4pm). We have even had examples where patients have come in late on a Friday night (when we are the only office that is open), and in many of those cases were able to provide complete care that night. But there are times that patients have had to wait many hours. If you come in late in the afternoon, please be understanding that there are limitations to accomplishing this goal. At the very least, we should be able to take an Xray and and give you pain medication and antibiotics if needed. We do not, however, prescribe narcotics without a financial commitment towards recommended treatment. The best course of action is to call in to our front desk and ask about the day’s schedule.
Most dental offices DO NOT offer same-day, emergency services (due to scheduling, logistical challenges, and services offered).
Your specific health
What we can’t do on the same day?
Then there’s sedation. In order to be sedated you cannot have food or drink 6 hours prior to your appointment and you must have a ride arranged. If you are fearful, nervous, or require more advanced dental surgery (like wisdom teeth removal), then you most likely require sedation.
So if you hope to have same-day dentistry performed under sedation, then you need to arrive as early as possible (ideally before 12), on an empty stomach (no food or water beforehand as the sedation may cause you to throw up), and with a ride ready. Also, make sure a dentist trained in IV sedation is available in that day by calling our office.
Schedulers Can Not Guarantee Anything Over the Phone
We do need to see you to be able to provide a diagnosis and determine your treatment options. Phone schedulers can not tell you anything for sure over the phone.

We offer flexible payment plans. Two are available through our office and two are offered through popular financing companies:
