How Are CEREC Crowns Made?

Our CEREC system utilizes advanced technology and imaging to streamline the dental crown process from a week to just about one hour. No uncomfortable molds need to be made – we create a digital mold through 3D imaging that creates a blueprint of the tooth and bite without any discomfort to the patient. This digital image is relayed to our on-site CEREC milling equipment that makes the customized ceramic crown. While the patient relaxes in one of our comfy treatment rooms, maybe watching a show on the flat screen TV with a warm blanket and pillow, we make their new crown.

Once the crown is finished, it can be fitted and permanently bonded into place the same day. This is a vast improvement to the traditional method, saving time for us and our patients.
