Your Dentist And Their Dental Assistants Will Be Monitoring You Throughout Your Procedure To Ensure Your Procedure Is A Success.
If you’re planning to have dental surgery your dentist and their dental assistants will be monitoring you throughout your procedure to ensure your procedure is a success.
- What happens with the Anesthesia Care Team before surgery?
- If you will be having IV Sedation you will meet with your dentist and dental assistant in an appointment called the Pre Op. You will be asked for your medical history, health habits, and details on your lifestyle. You will be connected to an EKG monitor to get your base line vitals and verify you will not need any additional medical clearance. Details about the surgery will be reviewed along with risks for that specific procedure. This is your time to ask as many questions as you have so you feel comfortable and understand the details of your procedure. Our team of dentist, dental assistants, and other medical professionals will be working together to make sure your surgery and recovery are safe and successful.
- What happens after surgery?
- After your surgery the IV sedation medications will be stopped and you will stay in your surgery suite until you are awake and responsive. Once you are aware and responsive our assistants will help you into a wheelchair and take you to your escorts vehicle and buckled into your seat.
